In the 19th century the clipper ship was the state-of-the-art in sea-going transportation technology, "clipping off" miles at an astonishing pace. In 1938, Wheels Clipper was the name chosen for a new land transportation company dedicated to the same ideals of innovation, service and reliability. The second 'X' in Exxpress was added to stand for "X-tra" effort to get the job done right and "X-traordinary" customer service.
